As a total fanboy .. well fangirl it was really fun to interview Dave Filoni the director of Cartoon Network’s (CN) Star Wars: the Clone Wars. I got the opportunity to ask him about the upcoming Season 5 of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series that’s scheduled to air in September of 2012 about what it’s like to work with George Lucas, being on the Skywalker Ranch of and of course projecting my own geeky curiosity. I’m sure I’m not the only person who grew up loving Star Wars and fantasized about working for George Lucas .. well in my case BEING George Lucas able to create stories out of my dreams, characters that would move the story closer to my fantasy (Jar Jar NEVER existed!). It was really fun chatting with him about growing up and into the man who’s helming Star Wars the Clone Was and I got a great interview which has been uploaded to cherrylosangeles @youtube.
Now for a lot of people you’ll have seen his work but may not know his name since he’s behind the camera. First off he’s the director of the the 2008 feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars (animated) and the supervising director of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series on Cartoon Network. He’s directed animated series on a variety of networks including Nickolodeon’s the Last Airbender, ABC’s the Oblongs, Fox’s King of the Hill and Disney’s American Dragon: Jake Long.
