The former Vampire Diaries star lands in familiar territory with the new Netflix series V Wars. Season one of the 10 episode series is based upon the comic of the same name by Jonathan Maberry.
V Wars follows the story of physician-scientist, Dr. Luther Swann and his best friend Michael Fayn (Adrian Holmes) as they face the evolving crisis of a deadly outbreak that fractures society into opposing factions. Potentially escalating to a future war between humans and vampires.
Instead of leaning heavily on the Supernatural factor, V Wars gets straight to the fact with Science and Technology. Even though this is being labeled another Vampire show, it’s bringing something different to the table with science and how a virus turning people into Vampires is really putting a strain on society and personal relationships.
The series also stars Laura Vandervoot, Nikki Reed, Kimberly Sue-Murray, Peter Outerbridge, Jacky Lai, Kyle Breitkopf, Sydney Meyer, and Kandyse McClure. You can stream the new series now on Netflix.
