and it didn’t go according to plan but what does? Especially for me it’s why I always try to be flexible and not let anything get me down. I’d hoped that I’d have a date this weekend but life is well .. life and it takes two for a date! If only interest is on one side than … no date! I try not to take dating personally since I believe if someone wants to date me they’ll call and ask me out within 72 hours. After that I stop looking at them as a prospective date and instead move them over to the friend zone. That way I don’t expect anything and so am not disappointed or frustrated with dating. I think that is why so many people get upset since they act like the other person is a toy that they can move around but forget they are sentient beings who have their own lives, interests and distractions. It’s why as an adult I don’t get too upset about bad dates (learning experiences) or guys who don’t call (they are missing out on ME .. ha ha) or just not getting exactly what I want. Instead I just keep moving along living my life and know that eventually as I’m going about my business a great man will fall into my life. Obviously I’m still a major romantic since I know that I’ll meet someone who is good for me (and I’ll be good for him) it’s just a waiting game. I’m surprisingly patient!
