I never wanted a hero I’ve always wanted the princess to save herself the new action movie ‘The Princess’ is the kickass action movie that hits my sweet spot. Period dress, evil villains, and a Joey King play a princess who will save herself.
Have you seen the trailer for ‘The Princess’ a fairy tale girl power action movie? I didn’t know I wanted this movie but when I saw the trailer on Hulu I fell in love. The star and executive producer is Joey King (who you’ve seen in the Kissing Booth on Netflix) who’s wearing two hats in the fantasy action movie. They had the premiere in Hollywood on Thursday, June 16th with the cast, director, and team celebrating the new film. It looks like they had a lot of fun watching it in the theatre and I’m counting down the days till it premiers on my TV. <hmm> might have a watch party and tweet with other fans #ThePrincess on July 1, 2022!
The movie is directed by Le-Van Kiet (“Furie”) and stars Emmy Award® nominee Joey King (“The Act,” “The Kissing Booth”) as a beautiful, strong-willed princess who refuses to wed the cruel sociopath to whom she is betrothed, and is kidnapped and locked in a remote tower of her father’s castle. With her scorned, vindictive suitor intent on taking her father’s throne, the princess must protect her family and save the kingdom. The movie also stars Dominic Cooper (“Preacher”), Olga Kurylenko (“Black Widow”), and Veronica Ngo (“The Old Guard”). “The Princess” is directed by Le-Van Kiet, written by Ben Lustig & Jake Thornton (“Winter’s Knight”, “Final Fantasy”), and produced by Neal H. Moritz (the “Fast and Furious” franchise), Toby Jaffe (“Total Recall”) and Derek Kolstad (“John Wick”), with Joey King and Guy Riedel (“Spectral”) serving as executive producers.
