Dead & Beautiful is ready to suck your blood on Shudder
Dead & Beautiful is the newest film by writer/director David Verbeek. The new vampire horror film premiers on Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service premiers on Thursday, November 4 in North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.Â
I do love a good vampire movie and Dead & Beautiful has me excited for the new film. It looks like a delightful reimagination of vampire movies I normally see with a beautiful cast that makes me want to bare my neck <tee hee>
Dead & Beautiful follows five spoiled rich and bored Asian 20somethings (Gijs Blom, Aviis Zhong, Yen Tsao, Philip Juan, Anechka Marchenko) that are suffering from rich people problems. They have TOO much money and time with no expectations of working or contributing to society. They fill their days with trying to ‘feel’ something, excitement, pain, passion and so each member of the the ‘Circle’ take turns coming up with a new experience. But after their latest experience, they wake up with vampire fangs and a thirst for flesh, blood, and adventure.Â
Dead & Beautiful is David Verbeek’s seventh feature. Among his previous films are the award-winning Full Contact, which premiered at TIFF in 2015, and R U There, which played Cannes’ Un Certain Regard in 2010. The film is produced by Erik Glijnis (Pleasure) and Leontine Petit (The Lobster) of Lemming Film, in co-production with House on Fire International, Nukleus Film, and Woods of Light Film. Indie Sales is handling international sales.Â
