William Shatner celebrated his extraordinary career for an entire day at Comic-Con International in San Diego. Shatner will be the focus of an upcoming documentary film from Legion M entitled Shatner on Shatner, and he and the filmmaking and Legion M team participated in a Kevin Smith-hosted panel in Hall H to talk about the film.
But that’s not all. Shatner participated in numerous autograph signings and meet and greets throughout the day at the Theater Box in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego, including a nighttime party where he performed some songs. He also was honored in the morning with a ceremony at the theater, where he placed his handprints and signature in cement.
Cherry the Geek TV was there for the handprint ceremony, which was also attended by film critic Leonard Maltin and Paul Wesley, who plays James T. Kirk in Star Trek:Strange New Worlds on Paramount+. Maltin, Wesley, and Shatner all spoke to the audience before the cement ceremony.
