Today was the day we learned our shelter fates. If you were one of the thousands who competed in the annual hotel lottery on April 12th, Onpeak has emailed the results.
Onpeak has made a few changes over the past few years. It no longer matters how fast you submit your form for placement. Whatever hotel you get from your list (or one not on your list) is completely randomized. So even if you gain access to the form right away, that doesn’t equate your first choice. Or any for that matter.
For me, the form popped up within a minute of going live and I was lucky to get my second pick hotel. Others have reported being in around the 30 second-1 minute mark and getting either their last choice or one far away from the convention center.
Were some of you able to get your choice picks? Or will you be looking for alternative places to stay? The weather will probably be awesome during the con so Hall H line might be an option.
