In a limited theatrical release, Viz Media is partnering with Fathom Events to bring dubbed and subbed versions of the classic 1995 Sailor Moon SuperS: The Movie, along with the premiere of the short “Ami’s First Love,” to select theatres across the United States.
Sailor Moon was a staple of my childhood and my introduction to anime, something I’m sure many can relate to. I recently re-watched the original 90s television series and am happy to state the obvious; Sailor Moon holds up on rewatches.
Ticket holders can pick up a limited edition full-color Sailor Moon poster while supplies last. Fans can catch the Dubbed screening on Saturday, August 4th and the Subbed screening on Monday, August 6th. Theatre locations can be found here:Â https://www.fathomevents.com/collections/sailor-moon
The SAILOR MOON anime series and movies are inspired by the bestselling manga series created by Naoko Takeuchi. In the series, Usagi Tsukino is a clumsy but kindhearted teenage girl who transforms into the powerful guardian of love and justice, Sailor Moon. Meeting allies along the way who share similar fates, Usagi and her team of planetary Sailor Guardians fight to protect the universe from forces of evil and total annihilation!
