Not monsters … friends! I’m ready for this summer adventure.
Disney and Pixar’s upcoming original feature film “Luca” is directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”). From the teaser trailer it makes me want to run outside, feel warm sand on my feet and make friends with Luca Paguro (Jacob Tremblay), his dad Lorenzo (Jim Gaffigan) and Alberto Scorfano (Jack Dylan Grazer)! It looks like they are juggling being friends with Giulia (Emma Berman) and meeting her parents Daniela (Maya Rudolph) and Massimo (Marco Barricelli) all the while staying dry.
The animation of Luca harkens back to childhood adventure, friendship and of course the secret that your a monster from everyone. Oh wait <giggle> this candy bright animated film is what my heart has been craving especially coming from that talent behind two of my favorite shorts that both evoked such strong feelings when I first saw them. Happily Luna looks like its going to be lots of laughter and no tears!
