Phew I survived Valentines week

Am I bitter or does it seem like Valentine’s is inching to a week?  They started talking about the holiday of ‘gift giving’ mid-January with the usual slap to the face of those who are single.   It’s the constant spend money spend money spend money refrain to show love with $$$$.  To spend as much as you can afford or can put on a credit card.  Really I heard one guy escaped from prison to spend Vday with his girlfriend .. ok that’s sort of romantic in a crazy don’t date people in prison sort of way .. bwa ha ha.  Now I’m always looking for a guy but will pass on that valentine surprise.  Being a more mature woman instead of being upset that I’m terminally single and desperately looking for someone instead I’m focused on me.  If I meet someone while living my life that means we’ll have common interests and goals.  For the next few weeks in my spare time am focusing on my creative endeavors.  I’m looking for people who want to work on my projects that are of course geek related.  As well as interviewing for FT jobs to FUND my passion projects.  I’d love to meet someone but love can’t consume me.  Instead I’ve giving myself the valentine gift of self-love and freedom to focus on me.
