Fans can’t get enough of EPIX® drama Pennyworth the DC drama from Warner Horizon Scripted Television has getting the Greenlight for a Season two! The second season will start filming in the UK January 2020 at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. The series is based on characters for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger and the team behind Gotham executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (Gotham, The Mentalist, Rome) and executive producer/director Danny Cannon (Gotham, CSI series) brought it to life based in a gritty realism with a dark graphic novel twist. This isn’t the Batman series a lot of fans grew up with but I for one became a fan from the first episode!
The series gave fans a chance to meet Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon) who will one day become Bruce Wayne’s legendary butler. This series is about the young Alfred in a swinging 1960’s London that shapes the man who one day will be a surrogate father to the legendary Batman. We get to learn about his being a former British SAS soldier, a bouncer, an entrepenuer and not a gentleman who has great friends in Bazza Bashford (Hainsley Lloyd Bennet), Dave Boy MacDougal (Ryan Fletcher) and loving parents during the upheaval of threats to the monarchy and British Democracy. We get to meet a young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge) and Martha Kane (Emma Paetz) who dabble with the two factions hellbent and taking over the country.
