Did you see the CRAZY Zombie video that AMC put up? It’s called the “Zombie Experiment NYC” where well it’s pretty self explanatory Zombies are running around NYC. It’s hilarious .. no really hilarious since NYC denizens always are very laissez faire but even they do a double glance, scream and of course run (it’s instinctual) when you see a zombie running around! Well it seems to have ‘infected’ AMC since they are launching a very clever contest online. It’s a online video contest called ‘Hey DISH, Where’s my AMC‘ where you can upload a 30 – 90 second video about how DISH customers are pissed off, annoyed and well ready to run amok wrecking havoc till their favorite shows are back on the satellite channel list. AND unlike when you normally kvetch on youtube in this instance they are offering super sweet prizes! The Grand Prize Winner receives a $4000 cash prize, a Canon® 7D Camera (MSRP $1549), and the opportunity to discuss their work with AMC’s Senior Vice President of Production. In addition, the winning video will appear across AMC owned social media channels. The contest also features two runner-up categories: “People’s Choice” and “Highest Viewed.” The winners of these categories will each receive a $1000 cash prize plus extras. DANG do you have to have DISH to compete??? I would love to have that Canon Camera to do some major damage with my blog (tons more photos and better videos)!
Now I’m a TV addict. I turn on the TV in the AM and listen to the news as I’m getting dressed. Watch/listen to primetime as a putz around my place at night and like a lot of people have my favorite goto watch all the time networks. So I won’t lie. I’d be spitting mad if Directv took away my channels (again) so I’m sure Dish people are LIVID with the new seasons already starting of their favorite series. I can’t help but wonder are they going to switch to Directv or cable? But of course that’s a major nuisance to find alternative providers with figuring out how much it’s going to cost, what providers are in your area and having to call to set it up.
