Mr. Malcolm’s List is in theaters nationwide THIS Friday
I’ve been intrigued since seeing the first poster for Mr. Malcolm’s List with its gorgeous inclusive cast. The story about the picky rich bachelor taking London by storm looking for the perfect woman reminds me of the romance novels I read as a teen that never had people who looked like me in them.
I adore the Pride & Prejudice-influenced story with the Cyrano de Bergerac twist with Julia Thistlewait (Zawe Ashton) plotting to take revenge on Mr. Jeremy Malcolm (Sope Dirisu) after his publicly cutting her after their date! The scandal <giggle> nothing plots revenge as a woman scorned by the season’s most eligible bachelor! She enlists her friend Selina Dalton (Freida Pinto) to make Jeremy fall in love to humiliate him. This is what I think from watching the trailer since I am of course a Julia!
