How to Sundance virtually for first time and returning attendees

As we take baby steps into 2022 (Happy New Year) I am ecstatic that I have been approved for Sundance Film Festival 2022 Press Credentials (virtual) to enjoy from my laptop! 

I’m updating the post because the 2022 Sundance Film Festival is going virtual because of the Omicron Variant

Covid continues to change our lives and with the latest variant, the Sundance Film Festival made the decision to go virtual. This will allow many who were not able to attend in person will be able to fully experience the festival. I’m a glass half full person so am excited about the opportunity to cover the film festival I’ve read about for years for the first time.

Sundance has various packages to attend in person or virtually and they have a page to compare what each offers before purchasing.

Sundance is offering a variety of membership, package and ticket options for those who would like to attend. If you become a member of the Sundance Institute at the Supporter level for early purchase, private invites to screenings, and other perks.

You can purchase festival packages now or single film tickets (starting January 6th). I recommend looking at the schedule now to see what films you would like to attend/see.

You can purchase discount tickets for Young Adults (18 – 25 years old) presented by Adobe that would like to attend the virtual film festival.  

You can find step-by-step directions on how to purchase tickets, transfer them to another attendee, and select tickets at the Sundance Festival 2022.

If you want to feel part of the festival they have lots of cool merchandise with the Sundance Festival logo. Items include t-shirts, hoodies, joggers, onesies, water bottles, tumblers, blankets, and more that you can enjoy before and after.
