Marvel comics is introducing the Black Panther to a new generation of fans with the new spotlight video series. It’s timed with Black Panther on the big screen in the Captain America: Civil War (out Thursday, May 5th) where a lot of people might not know the guy in the all black body suit!
Marvel is showing comic book love as they prepare for his breakout movie in a few years with this tie in with the characters best selling comic book series. This video series merges animation, comic book, narration and commentary for a immersion into his world. It’s a great addition for old fans as well as new that don’t know his backstory.
If you haven’t had a chance to grab Black Panther #1 by The Atlantic national correspondent and National Book Award winner, Ta-Nehisi Coates, accompanied with outstanding art by Brian Stelfreeze that debuted as the best-selling comic for the month of April. Head to your local comic book shop and grab one! It looks gorgeous and is a stunning story for a character that had been put on a back burner by fans who forgot how cool the Black Panther is!

The addition of this video series with a hip hop feel .. hmmm would Marvel’s Super Hero T’Challa, 
the Black Panther be a hip-hop guy or more jazz with sharp edges .. I’ll let you be the judge of that after watching the series and getting a feel for the character but to me he’s Miles Davis a cool cat who walks his own path in dark smokey rooms!
