The monster from within is taking over Hollywood this December
I’m ready for my inner monster to break free with one of my first crushes C. Thomas Howell (The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hitcher, The Outsiders, Soul Man, Hidalgo) with Leslie Easterbrook (The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween), Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, RoboCop), James Hong (Blade Runner, Big Trouble in Little China), Ray Wise (Batman: The Killing Joke, RoboCop, Twin Peaks, Fresh Off the Boat, Gilmore Girls, Reaper), and James Duval (Gone in 60 Seconds, Donnie Darko).
What a great cast! I grew up watching all of them and can’t wait to see this movie. It looks like a blast, with the SFX makeup looking and should be a blast that takes me back to staying up late to watch movies that my parents said was too scary for me (I’d get nightmares). This looks like I need to have some popcorn and a blanket to enjoy a scary night.
The SFX was created by Academy Award winner Brian Wade (Aquaman, Blade, Nightmare on Elm Stree 4 & 5), directed by Chris W. Freeman (Mirror Image, Evil Takes Root) and Spain Willingham, who both co-produced with Aaron Scotti (The Peanut Butter Falcon) and wrote the script, alongside Drew Fortune.
Beast Mode will be ready to come home on DVD and Digital on December 1st from Devilwork Pictures. The horror movie pays homage to 80’s movies where a has-been Hollywood producer, who after accidentally killing his lead star, turns to an ancient herbal elixir, in the hope that it will save his career. He makes a dark deal that unleashes a band of bloodthirsty, shape-shifting, ferocious beasts on LA.
I mean from the description it’s not that different from a lot of men and women I’ve worked with since locating to Hollyweird <guffaw>.
BEAST MODE will be available on DVD and Digital on December 1st from Devilworks Pictures in the U.S and Canada.
