Making plans for the 2014 Gaslight Gathering

I got introduced to the Gaslight Gathering Convention when they had a table at last year’s Stan Lee’s Comikaze where I did a brief interview (link on YouTube) about the fun steampunk convention.  It’s a great way to be introduced to the Steampunk lifestyle since she’s such a friendly welcoming person that is accepting of everyone.  I know as someone who LOVES conventions but hasn’t tried cosplay I think this is the event that might get me all decked out with somewhere to go.  I love fashion, the Victorian Era style (VERY complimentary for plus size ladies) and that the men are sooo dashing spats so sexy!  Also that I’m a big lover of San Diego!  It’s especially welcoming since SDCC can be overwhelmed with the sheer mob of all the attendees and that it’s so spread out.

The event also has Victorian Tea perfect event for anyone of all ages.  It’s the perfect opportunity to be transported in time especially those with fancy dolls .. American Doll girls I’m talking to YOU..well parents and grandparents who will PAY for the ticket <snicker>), the opportunity to attend the ball (I LOVE dancing) and a

tour of the Gaslamp District!!!  What’s not to love especially since the hotel is offering a great deal for attendees!    So let’s head down to San Diego and explore our Steampunk Side!  If you’re unsure of what it takes make sure you go to Gaslight Gathering where they have photos of previous attendees as well as follow their Facebook page for outfit ideas!

Gaslight Gathering 4 will be held on May 2-4, 2014 at the Town & Country Hotel in San Diego, California. Guests of Honor include the world-famous Professor Elemental, Cherie Priest, Ramona Szczerba and Dan Benedict.

Adult Weekend Tickets include: access to all three days of the  convention including – the Grand Merchant Bizarre, Art Salon, panels, Hospitality Suite, Observation & Gaming Lounge and all other activities. This ticket does not include any special ticketed events.

DISCOUNT WEEKEND TICKET = $25

ONLY FOR EDUCATORS, MILITARY, SENIORS (55+), STUDENTS, & YOUNG ADULTS (13-17 years)

These Discount Weekend Tickets are only for the following qualified individuals: Educators with current school IDs; active Military, veterans, and their eligible dependents with proper identification; Seniors who are 55 years and older with ID; Students of higher education with current student IDs; and Young Adults between the ages of 13-17. **These tickets include access to all three days of the convention including – the Grand Merchant Bizarre, Art Salon, all Programming and presentations, Hospitality Suite, the Lounge, and all other activities. This ticket does not include any special ticketed events. Discount tickets do not include access to any special ticketed events.

**Children 12 and under are free to attend with a paid adult.
