I’m looking forward to attending this Food and Wine Tasting in November. Anyone else familiar with the French Beaujolais winemaker? I’ve been experimenting various winemakers from all over the world and have to admit a fondness of French wine. I’m curious to try the restaurants appetizers that specialize in French Food. They are from all over SoCal and are: Cafe Metropol, Chez Nous, Secret Garden, Figaro Bistrot & Restaurant. I’ve been meaning to try quite a few of them and am so happy for the opportunity to have them in one location close to my home!!!!
Nouveau Expression, French Beaujolais winemaker and longtime arts supporter Georges Duboeuf is bringing a party of the senses to Los Angeles at a Nouveau Expression food and wine tasting on November 18, 2011, at the Beverly Hills Country Club, from 7 p.m. to12 a.m.
Presented by Georges Duboeuf, Club Culinaire of French Cuisine and Passions Productions, the party, titled “Beaujolais Passions,” will include: meet-and-greets with French and foreign dignitaries, French culinary delicacies, live music, a silent auction, raffle prizes and an appearance by celebrated street artist Evan Skrederstu—who will be creating a Beaujolais Nouveau-inspired artwork live at the event.
As a complement to the Georges Duboeuf 2011 Beaujolais Nouveau release, Club Culinaire chefs will offer classic takes on French cuisine. Admission is $55 in advance, $75 at the door and includes: access to the event, one glass of Beaujolais Nouveau 2011, and unlimited food tastings highlighting classic French favorites (tax and gratuity included). The event also celebrates the first taste of the 2011 vintage as it coincides with the arrival of the 2011 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau, a fresh and fruity red wine made from the local Gamay grape that is released after midnight annually on the third Thursday in November. The 2011 Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau, with a first-ever graffiti-inspired label designed by renowned Brooklyn artist “Kaves,” will be available nationwide at a retail price of $10. Nouveau is a popular wine for serving during the holidays; its ripe berry aromas and flavors are food-friendly and versatile with many dishes.

It’s a fun, vibrant new way for Duboeuf to connect with Beaujolais Nouveau enthusiasts through art and for people to connect with each other through social media and celebrations around the U.S.,” said Franck Duboeuf, co-proprietor of Les Vins Georges Duboeuf. “We’re planning Nouveau Expression parties around the nation and are delighted to be celebrating in Los Angeles.”
