Earthquake Bird will take you to Japan for a dark mystery of obsession, culture and a missing woman in the new Netflix Original Film that will be released to theaters 11/1/2019 and on Netflix 11/15/2019.
I haven’t read the acclaimed novel ‘Earthquake Bird‘ by Susanna Jones but from the first scene with Teiji (Naoki Kobayashi) I’m hooked on the newest Netflix Original film (adapted from the novel) written and directed by Wash Westmoreland. It looks intriguing and I have to say sexy as hell! I’m definitely intrigued by the actor Naoki Kobayashi who I could fall into his eyes and be lost. He’s unbridled passion and from the promo every glance is pure unadulterated sexiness! I’m looking forward to exploring Tokyo and glimpsing at this view of Tokyo.
A psychologically unsettling and atmospheric thriller set in 1989 Tokyo from director Wash Westmoreland (Colette, Still Alice), Earthquake Bird follows Lucy Fly (Alicia Vikander), an enigmatic expat haunted by a painful past, who enters into an intense relationship with Teiji (Naoki Kobayashi), a handsome local photographer. Lucy’s imperturbable exterior begins to crack when a naive newcomer, Lily Bridges (Riley Keough), becomes entangled in their lives and ends up missing — suspected dead.
