I have a major weakness for geeky movies with a mystery twist to them and Doors is hitting my sweetspot!
I’m curious about a cat regarding the new film Doors. I watched the trailer and love how it has three storylines of people who are exploring what the doors sudden appearance mean. I’d like to think that I’d be adventurous and try to communicate or just take a peek but I’m a bit of a scaredy cat so more likely jump and run off <ha ha>. The cast of the film includes Josh Peck (Drake & Josh, Grandfathered) who I always enjoy watching as well as Lina Esco (S.W.A.T.), and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie, Daredevil). The team behind the film is Chris White (creator) and the directors Jeff Desom, Saman Kesh & Dugan O’Neal. It looks like they have worked to balance mystery, science and how different people react to the unexpected. Doors (Epic Pictures) will be available in select theaters this Friday, March 15, On Demand March 23 + available on DVD/Blu-ray on April 6.
Synopsis: Without explanation or warning, a number of mysterious, alien “doors” suddenly appear in every corner of the globe. While many of those that encounter these sentient visitors feel the strange urge to interact with them – never to be seen again – others stay behind to face the potential threat of what their ultimate agenda towards mankind is. In a rush to determine the reason for the arrival of these cosmic anomalies, the government enlists volunteers to brave the journey to enter the doors so that we might learn more about their origin or purpose. But even these brave volunteers are not prepared for what lies beyond the threshold. The story of the doors is told through multiple perspectives: a ragtag band of high school students discover a door for the first time, volunteers explore the parallel reality beyond the threshold, and a lonesome hermit manages the seemingly impossible: establishing communication with a door.
