Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, AZ

I was very lucky earlier this year to win a prize from Challenge Butter to see the great outdoors and with my prize (2 roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines).  I decided to visit Phoenix with my friend for a Girls Weekend thanks to Challenge Butter so that we could explore the Great Outdoors. It was a whirlwind of running around Phoenix with shopping, eating at the local restaurants, enjoying the outdoors and seeing the shops.  I went to the ultimate shopping mecca  for Nordstrom fans like myself the Last Chance Store.  It was a madhouse of great bargains and ehh prices.  It’s a place that you have to look for the golden egg of a bargain  but I found a few things.  Obviously my version of the great outdoors is a shopping mall and they have some lovely ones in Phoenix!!!  Once my friend flew in we went back (what can I saw we are women and women LOVE to shop), got to see the natural beauty of the Desert Botanical Garden,  saw a comedy show at Papi Chulos Mexican Restaurant, had dinner at Sens Asian Tapas Restaurant (DELICIOUS!!!) chatted about life, my STILL being single, career ups/downs and the past year.  This was the best weekend ever since we got to recharge our batteries and more importantly got to see a good friend who no longer lives in LA.
