The new horror film AGNES, which centers on the demon possession/exorcism of a nun at a convent, premieres tonight at the Tribeca Film Festival as part of their Tribeca At Home series.
The film’s director and co-writer Mickey Reece (The Climate of the Hunter), the indie filmmaker who has been dubbed the “Steven Soderbergh of the Sticks” because he bases all of his productions in his home state of Oklahoma, and actress and Executive Producer Molly Quinn (Nathan Fillion’s daughter on TV’s Castle, Doctor Sleep) sat down with Cherry the Geek TV to talk about the film and what they hope viewers get when they watch the movie.
In Agnes, a nun’s disturbing behavior sparks rumors of demonic possession at a remote convent. When a priest-in-waiting and his disillusioned mentor are sent to investigate, their methods backfire, leaving a wake of terror and trauma.
The film also stars Jake Horowitz, Chris Browning, Chris Sullivan (This is Us), Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls), Rachel True, and– in an amazing performance as the disillusioned priest Father Donaghue– (Hollywood….sign this guy pronto!!)–Ben Hall.

The film is available to stream on demand starting tonight –Saturday, June 12th at 8pm, and will be available until June 23rd. You can buy tickets at the Tribeca Film Festival website here: http://https;//tribecafilm.com/films/agnes-2021
Tribeca is doing a hybrid festival this year–half of the screenings will be in person and half will be online. Agnes is one of the films debuting online, so there is no need to travel to New York to experience the fun!
