Celebrating Zumbi- 6th Annual Festival

I attended the best zumba class ever at the Brasil Cultural Center in Culver City a month ago.  It was such fun and the energy was the best with a super friendly instructor who was able to teach everyone from beginners to experienced Zumba fans!  I love foreign culure so am looking forward to attending this event and learning more about Brazil.  I’m especially excited about capoeira and Brazilian dance!  You can buy tickets at the link below and lets celebrate Brazil and Zumbi!

November 20 is celebrated in Brazil as a day of Afro-Brazilian consciousness. This day has a special meaning for those Brazilians of African descents who honor Zumbi as a hero, freedom fighter, and a symbol of freedom. Zumbi has become a hero of the 20th century Afro-Brazilian political movement and is a national hero in Brazil. Each year, we honor Zumbi with a 4 day capoeira and dance festival which include workshops, rodas, performances, and lot’s of Axé!!! This is a very special event for us and we are happy to share with you all. Confirmed guests are Mestre Boa Gente, Mestrando Jamaika, & CM Ninja. We will keep you posted as all the other guests are confirmed. $60 for 4 day event Nov 29, 2012 to Dec 02, 2012 09:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Our guests have started arriving and the play; ZUMBI, THE RISE OF XANGO is so exciting!!!!! We also can’t wait for you to see all the kids work! We will conclude with AXé Nights and party the night away! We are happy that Tribal Body Markings by Amir Magal will be making his Mark on us during the festival! We will have a PEACE TREE and encourage all of you to come share your wish for peace on our tree during the festival! We dedicate our 6th Annual Zumbi Festival to PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST!
