So amusing that Refinery 29 gets my mood as I leave the shackles of disappointment and a few triumphs that 2015 brought to my life. I am ready to begin a new AGAIN with a year full of promise and expectations.
I hope .. no I want life to bring major changes that were not realized entirely last year. I can’t complain of course since 2015 had me winning a cool vacation to Seattle, a missed opportunity to realize my geek chick series (not the right fit with vision) and a few flirtations (but no arrow strike to the heart). As disappointment mounted my fountain of optimism petered out and I thought <sigh> I will never be happy again but over the last few months I’ve turned a corner. I’ve had a couple of interviews for jobs that I would have loved to have but (sadly) no offer but am counting the blessings that I was qualified enough to be considered. I have an interview for a great contract job in the new year already set up (wish me luck) and have been sending out resumes like a ninja (silent but focused).
I’m not sure what 2016 will bring but hope it’s a new job, love and health. What do you want the new year to be for you?

WTH, Cancer? Hours before the first flute of Armand de Brignac has even thought about passing your lips, you’re already dreaming of a detoxifying juice cleanse. Blame the buzzkill on Venus, who crosses the threshold into Sagittarius and your sixth house of healthy living just one day before NYE. Cancel the club-hopping and go to the candlelight yoga and meditation instead. Okay, maybe that’s a little extreme. But there’s no reason you can’t start the celebrations with a few early-evening sun salutations. This Venus phase lasts until January 23, so it won’t be hard to get into a healthy groove as 2016 begins — or find a sexy fitness buddy to help you get your heart rate up, both in and out of the bedroom.

Don’t pull your punches; focus them. Mighty Mars brings his swag into an area of your celestial chart that cultivates grit, determination, and power. That’s a perfect celestial gift for the New Year. However, mindful Mercury’s move into understanding Aquarius might prompt you to think, rethink, and overthink how you go about moving forward. If you’re not truly hurting anyone in going for yours, then there’s no need to feel guilty about doggedly reaching the next rung of your success.
