Well I thought for a minute that I’d blow dry my hair straight or elongate my curly coily hair for fear of not fitting in with all of the golf fans attending. But than I thought no matter what it’s pretty obvious I’m a black woman AND pleasingly plump so what the heck I’m going to attend as ‘me’. So am going to head to Seattle on June 19th my hair in all it’s kinky glory. I might even blow it out for a cool afro since I’m sure it will rain or at the least be damp (it is Seattle) for three days in the Pacific Northwest!
I’m a bit of plus size fashionista in a conservative sort of way so don’t plan to wear a micro mini to traipse in the grass but do plan to rock a few cute outfits. I was looking at Eloquii for some stylish ensembles but nothing spoke to me. Â I liked a few of the dresses (but not casual enough and didn’t look walkable) and some of the skirts (but am partial to natural cotton). I LOVED the Studio Midi Skirts in cotton(yummy cute) but the colors I loved (red, yellow and orange) are sold out online <phooey>
But luckily I found my size on the  Nordstrom site (well one size too big but can return or have hemmed) in two   fabulous colors. Red and White so perfect for this
summer hot days in Los Angeles. This will be my first time with this line so am hoping they look as cute on me as the model. If not I will return them at the Grove location . Since I was on Nordstrom I tried the rack online and got some cute sperry topsiders (hopefully they’ll be better than the last pair I bought the interior lining came off) in white. I even took a gander at HauteLook where I got a ton of tops (a lovely bright yellow summer weight sweater) and a few other items. Perfect for a cool weekend in Seattle to watch the PGA Tour and hit the Star Wars Exhibit at the EMS Museum. I’m so excited to have won this weekend from Lexus but DAMN it’s going to be expensive with my new wardrobe additions. Ah well have to look my best .. never know who I’ll meet. Plus they will be great to wear to work with a blouse!
