So in case you may not realize it I’m a total geek and proud of it! As a geek I fell in love with a show last season called Grimm. You may not have seen it (if you did you missed a GREAT first season) but fear not you can watch episodes on line (Grimm) at NBC.com and on DVD. Now in case you want MY synopsis of this great drama sprinkled with dark fairy dust. It starts with a police detective in Portland, OR named Nick Burkhardt who’s living the American dream. A gorgeous home, pretty girlfriend, best friend/detective partner and a career that is leading him up the ladder but one night his beloved aunt appears back in his life and she’s brought a trailer full of trouble with her! He learns that he’s a Grimm from out of the old dark fairy tales and that all the things that go bump in the night have claws all the better to rend and tear human flesh. As the season progresses you get to know his friends, his enemies and all the creatures who share the world with us from dragons to man eating spiders to … well the big bad wolf! Not all of them are are bad and some turn out to be his friends and allies in protecting the innocent.
Now the new season is starting on Monday, August 13th after the final Olympic Game on NBC and I want to tell you what I’ve learned over the summer about the show from cast and creators who I was very excited to interview at the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. One of the coolest things I saw was the Portland immersion experience that was set up. You got to explore the dark, moody and foggy forest of Portland that than led you down the path (where was my Red Hood?) to Nick’s most secret possession. The airbus trailer his aunt left him with all the passed down knowledge of his Grimm ancestors. Luck you get to see it through my eyes since I took video and photos of the tour just for those who weren’t able to make it to San Diego this year and it can be found on cherrylosangeles @youtube tour of the Grimm Trailer.
My interview with the cast of Grimm will give major insight into the upcoming season as well as just the sheer fun of working on such a great show! I spoke with a few of the cast members who were just as excited about the new season as all the fans!
Silas Weir Mitchell who plays Monroe, a reformed Blutbat, who is Nick’s reluctant informant.
Bitsie Tulloch plays Juliette Silverton, Nick’s (David Giuntoli) loyal girlfriend, who is wary of his recent forays into the Grimm world.
Sasha Roiz plays Captain Renard, Nick’s politically adept superior officer and a descendant of a powerful line of Grimm royalty.
Sean Hayes and David Greenwalt are the executive producers on NBC’s acclaimed drama series “Grimm.”
Norberto Barba, Director is the executive producer and director on NBC’s acclaimed drama series “Grimm.”
I am so looking forward to season 2 of Grimm! I can’t believe that it’s already about to start. Unfortunately I won’t be home for the premiere tomorrow, but my Hopper will record it on PrimeTime Anytime so that I can watch it on Tuesday morning before I go to work at Dish. I’ll be able to use the Auto Hop and skip the commercials. It will save me about 20 minutes before I have to leave and I’ll be able to catch the whole episode! This season is going to be great and I can’t wait for it all!
