The new co-op focus platform fighter game MultiVersus dropped its open beta version for players this week, and the games developers and voice talent were on hand at Comic-Con International in San Diego to talk about the game with Cherry the Geek TV.
We got to chat with Warner Brothers Games Executive Producer Sheloman Byrd, as well as Co-Founder of Player First Games and MultiVersus Game Director Tony Huynh, about what players can expect from the game.
Byrd explained the game: “We basically let you take two of your favorite characters from the world of Warner and you play against other folks with it. You can team up with your friends and have some fun.”
Huynh touted that in addition to already announced WB characters that will appear in the game–characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Scooby Doo, Bugs Bunny, Taz, and Harley Quinn, they will continuously add new characters. “We just added The Iron Giant on Tuesday and we just announced that LeBron James will be added as well,” said Huynh.
They even dropped the LeBron James character reveal trailer for us.
MultiVersus is coming to Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X with cross-play support and dedicated server-based rollback netcode and content-filled seasons. Open beta for MultiVersus launched on July 26th.
