I’m a huge romantic that always thinks my true love is just around the corner but I’m also a realist so have been working to make me the woman who will ATTRACT the man of my dreams.  So if you check out my channel cherrylosangeles@ youtube you’ll see all the video’s I’ve made over at Pink Iron the Crossfit Gym where I workout.  As you look at the videos you can see I’m slowly sculpting my body to be the fit, strong, confidant and attractive woman that is trapped in my current lumpy blob body (just kidding I really don’t look that bad!).  But it’s been a tough journey to keep on the path of fitness!  It’s not easy to change a lifetime of bad habits and misinformation.  Like a lot of people I’ve gone on a variety of diets and various workouts but soon get bored with them.   It’s one of the things that I like about crossfit since everyday at Pink Iron they have a new workout all in the goal of making a lean mean WOMANLY shaped crossfit queen.  So I don’t get bored, the classes are small and the trainers/staff know me well enough that they always recommend alternatives for movements that take into account my flexibility and knee issues.
Of course my plan to sculpt by body isn’t just to get fit but also to satisfy my goal of romance.  I refuse to give up on my dream of finding love but the last few years dating hasn’t been all it’s cracked up to be.  It’s hard to meet someone when your not happy with yourself.  Now that I’m losing weight my self confidence is rising and I think I’m looking pretty good not that I want to sound conceited!  But I don’t seem to be invisible to men (all the time) and have noticed them looking at me now I’m not sure they are looking like I’m some hottie but they do look at me.  I was at the Corner Bakery earlier today and this attractive man was looking at me.  Now he wasn’t smiling at me (if he had I would have spoken to him) but just looked at me intently.  I smiled at him and he didn’t do anything just looked at me so I left since I had to head to the post office.  A few weeks ago a good looking guy (a chef at the TasteLA) asked for my number.  Now call me obtuse, foolish, a dreamer or socially inept but I thought if someone asked for your number it was because they wanted to CALL you!!! Hmmm not what it meant to him since he not only didn’t call me but didn’t return MY call (I’m not a rules girl!).   Ehh not meant to be I suppose.
But I’m not going to let that get me down since I know that I’ll meet someone as long as I keep my goals in mind.  To be a confidant, strong, fit and attractive woman who will attract the perfect man.  Now my perfect man isn’t what most women wish for and it is a long list but isn’t about money, power or his being Mr. Big!  A good geeky guy who will go to comic conventions, who is kind, smart, passionate and fun loving.  A guy who can discuss the merits of what Star Trek captain is the best choice to lead Earth’s forces against an alien armada.  Who Who will plan our vacations around the San Diego Comic Con who wants to go to New York to attend the NY Comic Con but while in town will hit the New York Metropolitan of Art & see a play on Broadway.  Someone who will get me in all my quirky geeky glory.  I had hoped to meet someone at SDCC this year but spent it working so didn’t really talk to anyone but panelists.  Than I hoped to meet someone at Stan Lee’s Comikaze but I didn’t really meet anyone for romance.  <sigh> but it only takes one guy so of course am not giving up hope since their’s always the Long Beach Comic Con coming up November 3 – 4th!! tee hee what can I saw that’s my ‘type’!
