Troppo is a new mystery series streaming now on Freevee
I interviewed Troppo cast and writer about the new Freevee (formerly IMDBTv) series. The series stars Thomas Jane (Ted Conkaffey) and Nicole Chamoun (Amanda Pharrell) and the series were adapted by Candice Fox who wrote Crimson Lake (the book series is based on).Â
I watched the first two episodes of Troppo and found it an appealing mystery series with a dark undercurrent of two wounded leads trying to figure out how to get back to normal. In the case of Ted Conkaffey an innocent man accused of a heinous crime that cost him his family and life he moves and hides from the world. Amanda Pharrell is a pariah in a small town with the letter ‘M’ on her forehead ostracized as a murderer trying to navigate her anger. When you have two damaged people trying to work together to find a missing person. Well, it’s a slow build as you get to know them and why Amanda is trying to prove herself and Ted is pulled into investigator mode. I found the first two episodes sparked my curiosity about the outback/Queensland settings and the people who inhabit this town.Â
It’s an adult series that takes advantage of a talented cast who takes the story and breathes life into one of my favorite genres. It’s a limited 8 episode run on Freevee (formerly IMDBTv).Â
You can access Freevee from Amazon as a standalone app on Google Play, AppleTV, and Prime Video Channel
