You had me at Star Trek San Diego Comic-Con Museum
I grew up a Trekkie and have loved Gene Roddenberry since I was a child. I am so excited at what Rod Roddenberry is doing to continue the legacy of his father and the beloved Star Trek universe as it continues to expand the Prime Directive to new and old fans of all ages.
During the soft launch of the San Diego Comic-Con my ‘must see’ is the Gene Roddenberry: Sci-Fi Visionary Exhibit this weekend during San Diego Comic-Con: Special Edition. It’s the centennial celebration and will highlight the career and legacy of Gene Roddenberry who created (the original) Star Trek. The exhibit will have historical memorabilia, costumes and props from CBS, rarely seen documents and letters, and more for visitors to learn about Gene Roddenberry’s life story, impact on pop culture and his decision to have a a diverse cast that was rarely seen at that time.Â
The exhibit is a collaboration with Roddenberry Entertainment and CBS that will be on display for SIX MONTHS. If you’re a fan of Star Trek or science fiction and pop culture this a ‘can’t miss opportunity’ so make sure you buy tickets to the museum (before it sells out) and check out the exhibit.
