Fathom Events, alongside LAIKA, Shout! Factory, and Park Circus are celebrating 15 years of Laika Studios
Coraline and ParaNorman are coming to the big screen …. AGAIN! For one night ONLY!
The delightful magical stop motion artistry of Laika Studios are films that I always see in the theatre where I am able to get lost in the dark quiet movie enjoying stories with fellow fans! I remember seeing their first film 15 years ago like it was yesterday! I hadn’t seen new stop motion full length films in years and how the Laika Studios team works to make each film different always delights me and reminds me of being a kid again.Â
This will be a treat for those seeing the films again and for the first time because of the added bonus content that shows the creators behind the films that people rarely see! I was lucky enough to see the Laika Studios exhibit at SDCC a few years ago where they had artists showing how stop motion works, the little ‘dolls’ <cough> actors they bring to life with movie magic and how technology has changed stop motion filming!
Movie tickets are on sale now for Coraline www.FathomEvents.com and ParaNorman tickets will be available starting Friday, August 13th. The link will also show where the films are being shown and if not I say make it a vacation and travel to wherever the nearest movie theater is for you to enjoy Coraline and ParaNorman. Celebrate 15 years of Laika Studios‘ stop motion movie magic!
