HBO Max‘s new sci-fi series Raised By Wolves premieres this week, and we are celebrating in the days leading up to the premiere by presenting sneak peek clips from the series as well as interviews with the series’ stars and creator!
Today we talk with showrunner/Executive Producer Aaron Guzikowski. Guzikowski wrote the pilot episode of Raised By Wolves as a spec script which caught the attention of Ridley Scott. Guzikowski is best known as the screenwriter of the 2013 Denis Villeneuve film Prisoners starring Hugh Jackman, and creating the 2014 television series The Red Road. Guzikowski talks about what viewers can expect to see in the series as well as working with Scott.
Raised By Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. The 10-episode first season premieres this Thursday, September 3rd, and the first two hours are directed by Ridley Scott, his first foray into directing television (for American TV) since becoming an A-List film director decades ago, with sci-fi masterpieces like Alien and Blade Runner under his belt.
The series stars Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim as the two androids, as well as Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Niamh Algar, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Assiya Shah, and Ivy Wong.
Tomorrow we will conclude our look at Raised By Wolves, presenting interviews with the two android stars of the show Amanda Collin (Mother) and Abubakar Salim, as well as presenting TWO new clips! This should then get everyone excited for Thursday’s premiere on HBO Max. See you tomorrow!
