THE PHOTOGRAPH Available on Digital 4/28 & Blu-ray and DVD 5/12
I love love and can’t believe that I didn’t get a chance to see ‘The Photograph’ in theatres. Happily, I can now correct the error of not supporting Black Love with its release on digital, Blu-ray and DVD with filmmaker & cast interviews as well as behind the scene footage! It’s the perfect film to daydream about finding love as I stay home and practice social distancing!
You can’t resist love especially a film starring Issa Rae (“Insecure,” Little) and Lakeith Stanfield (Straight Outta Compton, “Atlanta”) on how quickly life can change when you open your heart to someone else. THE PHOTOGRAPH arrives on Digital April 28, 2020 and on Blu-Ray™️ and DVD May 12, 2020 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Bring the movie home and enjoy the stolen glances, gentle touches, and passion that will make you want to find your special someone or share with your boo!
Sweet and sophisticated, THE PHOTOGRAPH follows the story of a young woman Mae (Rae), whose mother, a famed photographer, passes away and leaves her with tons of unanswered questions. In her journey to finding out more about her own origins, Mae stumbles upon not only a letter and photos her mother left behind but also an unexpected and powerful romance with an up and coming journalist (Stanfield). Full of passion and emotion, THE PHOTOGRAPH gracefully connects love stories across decades and reminds us of the importance of familial love.
Written, produced and directed by Stella Meghie, THE PHOTOGRAPH features a captivating supporting cast including Chanté Adams (Roxanne Roxanne), Y’lan Noel (Insecure), with Lil Rey Howery (Get Out, Good Boys) and Courtney B. Vance (The Mummy).
