You had me at Avatar Fierce Reads and Macmillan SDCC 2017 Booklover

As the 2017 San Diego Comic Con draws near am looking to add ‘what to see’ and I’m adding Booth 2800/2802 who will be introducing me to old friends Michael Dante DiMartino (Avatar: the Last Airbender) and new Dan Santant (Ricky Ricotta). I’m hoping to chat to a few about creative inspiration, how they started and telling stories that appeal to fans of all ages!

I’ve briefly spoken to Michael Dante DiMartino shortly before the premier of ‘The Legend of Korra’ so would love to hear about his foray into writing his sequel to Rebel Genius. Am very excited to chat with Tomi Adeyemi about her first series inspired by West African mythology! I don’t know much but am adding this to my ‘must read’ list once it’s released!

Michael Dante DiMartino, the co-creator of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of Korra,” will be signing his debut middle-grade fiction, Rebel Genius and promoting the upcoming follow-up, Warrior Genius.

Tomi Adeyemi, the author of the upcoming Children of Blood and Bone series, which is inspired by West African mythology, will be signing samplers of the first book in the trilogy, which has been optioned by Fox 2000 for a movie adaptation!

Leigh Bardugo, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the acclaimed Shadow and Bone Trilogy and the Six of Crows Duology will be signing samplers of her highly anticipated collection of short stories from the Grishaverse, The Language of Thorns.

Marissa Meyer, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the beloved Lunar Chronicles and Heartless, will be signing samplers of her upcoming teen superhero novel, Renegades.

Dan Santat, the Caldecott Medal winning and New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of The Adventures of Beekle, will be signing advanced copies of his picture book After the Fall, about how Humpty Dumpty got back up again.
