I’m such a huge The Tick fan that I’m salivating over the big blue guy takeover at SDCC 2017
I’ve loved the tick from comic book to cartoon to live action and now he’s back with BFF Arthur on Amazon Prime in August! While my fellow Tickers and I count down the day to the new series on Amazon Prime if your in SoCal head to San Diego Comic Con!
Amazon is taking over this year with the Amazon Prim Member Lounge (membership has it’s privileges) and celebrating it’s first hero series. It’s going to be ALOT of blue with the fun starting in San Diego on July 20th! Geeks will be able to explore the world of the Tick with the Amazon Prime Video’s Tick Takeover! You can find this celebration of blue zaniness on the MLK Promenade (on the corner of 1st and J Street) that will be hard to miss with a 20 foot tall animatronic Tick head and ‘easter eggs’ that will get lucky fans some cool swag.
Citizens can control the Tick’s emotions with levers that operate the giant 20ft animatronic build as well as a challenge based scavenger hunt to help our dynamic duo fight a group of evil doers. The multi room experience has four locations that fans of the series will remember – Goat’s Deli, Arthur’s Apartment, The Warehouse and The City Police Station.
The Tick Takeover will be open to the public Thursday, July 20th through Saturday, July 22nd from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm, and Sunday, July 23rd from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at the MLK Promenade (corner of 1st and J street).
I’m excited that as a Amazon Prime Member we get to stream the pilot episode relaxing in the AC of our own private lounge <tee hee> and unlock digital badges hidden for exclusive member only swag! Matty Mo, the viral art sensation aka ‘the Most Famous Artist’ will create one-of-a-kind art pieces featuring Superian to share an “Instagrammable” moment from The Tick Takeover. The Most Famous Artist will also be responsible for creating and curating all the graffiti tags seen around The City.
Citizens can also call on #TeamTick on the streets of SDCC to help out like any self respecting hero! They’ll offer a hand to the helpless and defenseless and are easy to find with their Blue Antenna!

Heroes have flown among us for decades but mild-mannered accountant Arthur Everest (GRIFFIN NEWMAN) one day finds out there are also genuine bad guys in this new Amazon Original Series.
