Haywire — Screening at AFI Fest in Hollywood

I was very luck to attend the AFI Fest Secret Screening  Question and Answer (with cast) on Sunday, November 6, 2011 of the new action film ‘Haywire‘ directed by the creative genius Steven Soderbergh.  I have to say that I was very excited about this film after a chance to see one of the fight scenes a few months ago.  I do love a kick ass woman and Gina Carano kicks ass like nobody’s business!!!  It’s great to see a woman on screen that’s healthy, strong and LOOKS tough!  She is a MMA fighter that is a beautiful beaded glove covering a steel fist!  If I’m ever in a fight I want her on MY side!

Well if you haven’t heard the buzz on this great thriller let’s start with how Mr. Soderbergh decided to create an action movie around this woman AND got a great performance!  It’s hard to believe this is her first major role and I am sure we will see a lot of her in the coming years!  I think that Angelina will have to fight for her action queen title now that Gina’s here!
