Outlander fans head to Beverly Hills for the upcoming costume and set design exhibition at the Paley Center (Beverly Hills) and for a lucky few press people they get an early peek!  I’m hoping to attend and speak with Terry Dresbach and Jon Gary Steele on how the costumes and set designs are able to transport people to another time and place. In attendance of the opening preview and panel will be stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, Executive Producers Ronald D. Moore and Maril Davis and the panel will be moderated by Maureen Ryan, TV Critic, Variety.
I’ve spoke to fans of this beloved series inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander books and they are always ecstatic of how the TV series pays homage to her vision.
I had the pleasure to speak with Diana Gabaldon, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Geughan and Ronald Moore at SDCC last year. Fans were passionate about what was going on and looking forward to the new season as they explore Paris. I am very excited to see the costumes and set designs as a fashionista as well as a book lover. Often when we read the books we paint a picture in our minds of what it would look like in real life. When books are made into TV series at times fans get frustrated that it doesn’t live up to their imagination. But Terry and Jon Gary with the rest of the team have surpassed fans and kept them surprised and intrigued with the rich visual tapestry!
Now it’s LA’s turn to see the magic up close and personal thanks to Stars, Sony Picture Television and the Paley Center! Don’t forget to join the Paley Center for special membership benefits so that we can continue enjoying the history of television arts.Â
Terry Dresbach, Emmy-winning costume designer of the Starz and Sony Pictures Television series Outlander creations will transport you to 18th century Paris society! Â has taken the beauty of 18th century Parisian society. The exhibit will include set pieces from Jon Gary Steele, production designer, episodic photography and behind-the-secedes video segments of this visually sumptuous series.
Outlander:Â After serving as a British Amy nurse in World War II, Claire Randall is enjoying a second honeymoon in Scotland with husband Frank, an MI6 officer looking forward to a new career as an Oxford historian. Suddenly, Claire is transported to 1743 and into a mysterious world where her freedom and life are threatened. To survive, she marries Jamie Fraser, a strapping Scots warrior with a complicated past and a disarming sense of humor. A passionate relationship ensues, and Claire is caught between two vastly different men in two inharmonious lives. “Outlander” is adapted from the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon.
