Well the next time I’m in Washington DC am going to check out Chipotle’s newest brick in Steve Ells empire called ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen. I’m curious on how he decided to choose Southeast Asian Cuisine for the next restaurant. I can understand not choosing hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza or barbque since they have been super popular and those restaurants have sprung up everywhere.
Who doesn’t love Americanized Ethnic Food? I know that I do or is that just being a Midwesterner (ha ha)?!? From what I’ve read about Steve Ells he believes in having a streamlined service and living an ethical business philosophy. I’ve read quite a few reviews on a variety of sites that the food is good and definitely very similar to Chipotle as in it’s a good portion, well made, fresh and good but not ‘authentic’.
If you’ve had a chance to try Shophouse please leave a comment with you opinion of the food.
