Well my two horoscopes are at opposite ends of the spectrum and pretty much sum up my mood/mindset. I’m still wound up as heck from San Diego Comic Con where I met and interviewed so many people that my head is still spinning trying to get it all sorted all the while looking at my next chapter in my pursuit of love and career path. Something really hit me at SDCC this year .. namely that I just don’t meet enough men! I’m always meeting new women and guys (usually gay) who are awesome and that I love being friends with them but being in San Diego with a ratio of 20 men for every woman .. well it seems as if I’m an attractive, funny and nice woman that guys were interested in talking with for light flirtation. I mean this comic con was CRAZY despite my being too busy to even breath or eat (thank goodness for Kind Bars!) I got the chance to meet some great people. Not just for flirting (did lots of that) but for business networking, social interaction and general mayhem. I went in with the mindset to not be so focused on my interviews but to also enjoy the experience of being around people who love scifi, anime, cartoons, fantasy, cosplay and all the joy of geeklife as much as I do and it was great. It’s really nice to be able to strike up a conversation with someone for 30 minutes about the business of comic book entertainment (DC vs Marvel) and just vibe about it without having to explain everything (characters, history, show/movie critique, casting, etc) to someone who only knows about the characters they’ve seen in movies, tv or cartoons. Now I’m not sure how to move that to dating since everyone was literally from across the globe but I know that quite af few of them are right here in LA (it is Hollywood). I just need to get off my butt and get out to meet someone.
I must admit I’ve just been so busy and distracted that I haven’t really tried to meet anyone and as much as I want love just haven’t been that open to it. So must really add ‘meeting more men’ to my ‘To Do List’ .. urghh but it’s so long already that I don’t know how to squeeze it in! So if you know anyone seeking a cute black geek (bleek, beeg, bleeg, .. still looking for a good one word description) than send them my way!!!! Let me know where you go or how you met your geek love! Am always looking for a matchmaker!
