Sweetwater, a new sports biopic about Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, a Harlem Globetrotter who became the first African-American to sign an NBA contract, arrives in theaters this week. Cherry the Geek TV spoke to Martin Guigui, the film’s writer/director, about the decades-long journey to get the film to the big screen.

Sweetwater opens in theaters everywhere April 14th.
