I was looking for a new science fiction audiobook and the cover of Wild Massive caught my eye. It’s a very imaginative story that takes you on a topsy-turvy journey touching on powerful government forces, an almost never-ending soap opera, and a fight between Goliath and nimble rebels.

The book has seasons that tie into the core of the book about how the world was built and connected by elevators. Scotto Moore uses his experience as a playwright to keep the story moving along as we delve deeper into each episode from various characters as the story unfolds at a brisk pace.

The world is a giant building with floors that are able to be reached by Carissa who lives in one of the smart elevators as she searches for her brother. She’s on the run so never stays anywhere too long and tries not to make too many connections as she tries to stay out of reach of  The Association. Who is the biggest power on all the floors as well as the owner of Storm and Designer that tells the story of Clarissa’s people from a propaganda point of view. Along the way, we meet allies, enemies, friends, and more that further deepen the intricate tale.

The book starts out with Carissa who meets Rindasay who’s also on the run from The Association and is part of a floor fighting for autonomy/freedom. As we learn more about how other floors work and deal with being under the thumb of threats. You will find yourself under the spell of the book. 

It was an exciting rollercoaster ride that takes us to meet other worlds, who created the building, and lots of adventure! It’s a blast!
